Split PDF

Splitting is for the opposite problem: a PDF that’s carrying more than it should — a scanned batch of separate documents, a textbook you only need one chapter from, a signed contract where you only need the signature page.

How it works

  1. 1Drop in the PDF you want to split.
  2. 2Choose how to split it — custom ranges, every N pages, one file per page, or extract specific pages.
  3. 3Type the page numbers or ranges, e.g. 1-3,4-8,9.
  4. 4Click Split PDF — you’ll get a downloadable ZIP of the resulting files.

Common ways people use this

  • Pull one chapter or section out of a long PDF
  • Separate a multi-document scan batch into individual files
  • Extract just the signature page from a signed contract
  • Break a large document into smaller pieces to share individually

Frequently asked questions

Can I split by exact page ranges instead of even chunks?

"Custom ranges" lets you define exactly which pages go in each output file, e.g. 1-3,4-8,9.

What if I only need a few pages, not the whole thing split?

Use "Extract pages" — it gathers just the pages you list into one new PDF instead of splitting the rest.

Do I get one file or several?

Ranges, every-N and one-per-page modes return multiple files zipped together; Extract returns a single PDF.

Is the page order preserved in each output file?

Yes, pages keep their original order within each output file.
