PowerPoint to PDF

Sending a deck to someone without PowerPoint, or attaching it where slides are awkward, is what PDF is for. This reads each slide's text — the title, then its bullets — and lays it out one slide per page.

Common ways people use this

  • Attach slides to an application or submission that only accepts PDF
  • Produce a text handout of a presentation
  • Archive a deck in a format that will still open in ten years

Frequently asked questions

Does it reproduce the slide design?

No. It lays out the text of each slide, one slide per page. Backgrounds, images, charts and exact fonts need a commercial rendering engine — this is an honest text conversion, not a screenshot of your deck.

Does it support .ppt?

Only .pptx. An older .ppt is a different binary container — open it in PowerPoint and use Save As → .pptx first.

Are speaker notes included?

No, only the text on the slides themselves.

Is the deck uploaded?

No. A .pptx is a ZIP of XML, and it is read and converted entirely in your browser.
